What's the safest glass for my skylight?
VELUX recommends and building codes states that laminated glass, or VELUX Standard Safety Glass for any skylights out of reach (usually above eight feet). This glass not only is the safest we offer, but it also remains clean longer and reduces noise by up to 25% compared to other standard double pane glass.
Will skylights help my child sleep better?
Natural light is an external environmental factor that sets the phases of our circadian cycle (sleep cycle). When the sun rises, we tend to wake up even if we didn't sleep a full eight hours. By upgrading your skylight glass to Standard Safety Glass (comes standard on some skylights), your skylight will do the work for you. Any debris that lands (or decomposes) on the outside skylight will be broken down by our Neat glass coating and washed away with the next rain.
