Chris, one of the owners, responded to my inquiry quickly and came out to provide a quote. He was thorough in explaining the process of replacing it and honest in his assessment of both our skylights. We didn’t feel like he was ever trying to upsell us, which is rare with salespeople. When we were ready to replace the skylight, we contacted Chris, and his team was out the next week to complete the job. The installers were efficient and cleaned up well after themselves. After the job, Chris followed up to thank us for the business. While we may have been able to find a less expensive quote, I believe Your Skylight Expert is the best in the business and their knowledge is unmatched. We are confident the skylight was properly installed and we won’t have to worry about issues such as leaking. We will definitely be utilizing them again when the time comes to replace our other skylight.

Chris, Gabe, Dakota, and Cameron did an excellent job installing 2 Skylights and a Sun Tunnel for us while our roof was being replaced! They took the necessary steps to keep the drywall dust to a minimum and kept the work area clean over the few days they were working. They were safe on the roof using fall arrestors and harnesses to stay secure. Clean, polite, and knowledgeable, would definitely recommend them. The pricing was fair and I have no complaints.

Velux Skylight Specialists are top notch!! Chris got back with me the same night that I inquired and within a couple of days Gabe came out to give us our estimate and the next week they were installed!! We even asked them to come back to show us some additional filters and he came back within a couple of days. They are fast, efficient, and friendly!! I can't say enough about them as a team! We had “Your Skylight Expert“ install two Velux skylights and an attic fan in September 2025. The skylights were to replace existing 30 year-old Velux skylights. I was very pleased with every aspect of my experience. We found them having a show room to be very helpful. I had a skylight that had the glass shattered. I called and talked to Chris, and he was able to come by that day to see what could be done. He determined he would be able to replace just the glass instead of a whole new skylight which saved me money. He was able to have it fixed within 2 weeks. Chris and his crew installed a new whole house fan and attic fan last fall. I had been wanting to replace the old one in my house and had a difficult time finding someone who could recommend and install one (lots of electricians install them but you have to purchase one first and I had no idea what I needed). Chris gave me an estimate and installation was completed within 2 weeks. This has to be the #1 best improvement I've made to my house! I immediately noticed a difference in the smell and feel of the air inside my home. The best part is turning on the whole house fan in the evenings/nights when it's cooler outside. The air flow is spectacular! My electric bill has also decreased since I don't need to turn on the air as often. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the recommendations and service I received. My ceiling where the old fan was had to be patched because the new fan is much smaller. By the time the crew left, there wasn't a spec of dust on the floor. And BONUS, they came on trash day and actually brought my garbage cans in for me. Your Skylight Expert goes above and beyond, and I'm thrilled with it all! We have worked with Chris and his crew twice for solar tube installation, most recently having them put 6 solar tubes in our new (to us) house. He really understands this industry and immediately locked on to what we wanted. It included some fabrication work on his part in order to provide us the same light-effect lenses we had with the tubes at our old house. Cameron led the installation team and they were great. Personable, professional, and they took the time to make sure everything was perfect. They also did a fantastic job of cleaning up the work area after they were finished. I purchased an attic fan & whole house fan. The crew scheduled a time and called prior to arrival. They were very helpful in answering any questions. They were very careful and meticulous with their work. The installation looks great! My house has stayed cool even with the excessive heat we have experienced. The whole house fan moves a tremendous amount of air. My house stays cool and my air conditioner doesn’t work as hard to keep up. We should have done this years ago. Your Skylight Expert recently installed two electric bathroom fans/lights and a solar-powered attic fan for us and we couldn't be happier with the products or the installation process. We had originally wanted solar-based lights for the bathrooms, but when Chris came to the house to assess our needs and answer our questions, explained that those lights wouldn't work with the design of our house. We appreciated that he was upfront about that and didn't try to sell us a product that wasn't optimal for our house yet was still able to provide us with a product that did what we wanted it to do. Installation by Gabe and Cameron followed a few days later. All the guys were great to work with, respectful to us and to our property. Gabe and Cameron did a good job of cleaning up as they worked and before they left so we weren't left with any messes to clean up. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them based on our experience.

Last week Chris and Gabe installed 4 Solatubes in our living room and kitchen area and a ceiling fan in our hot garage. From the first time they came out to evaluate our needs and provide a reasonable quote, to the installation process, everything was done professionally and as promised. The work was completed in one day and Chris and Gabe were conscious of leaving our home clean when finished. We like the extra natural light that our new Solatube's provide in areas of our home that were always darker than we wanted. Your Skylight Expert / Solatube We recently had Your Skylight Experts install two 14" Solatubes with Dampers and Lightkits. At the start of the process, a father and son team, Chris and Chris Holtz, came out to look at our great room. We have soaring vaulted ceilings and limited natural light. Chris Senior suggested we have them remove the can light above our basement steps and replace it with a Solatube. They then installed a second Solatube in line with the first to bring more light into the space. They set up a ladder and walkboard above our stairwell on install day. They talked with us in detail about placement and used a laser to precisely. The peak of our ceiling doesn't line up with the peak of our roof. They masterfully installed the collectors on the backside of our room and used elbows to connect them to the lenses in the ceiling. The light the Solatubes brought into our home is fabulous. Chris and his helper Gabe cleaned up everything like they never were here. Your Skylight Experts is family-owned, and they care. We had a small issue with a light kit in one of the Solatubes. Chris texted back and forth with me when I discovered an issue and came the next day and took care of it. My new Skylights (Solatube's) are fabulous! Just installed today and they are well worth the wait. I've always wanted natural light in my main bath! The contractors or skylight contractors were on time and got right to work. They were very professional and after of few hours everything was installed and working as designed. My Solatube's have the fan option, so I finally have low noise fans that exhaust out of the roof in both bathrooms. I can't be more pleased. The pictures were taken while it was raining outside! Lots of light still coming through.

I have been wanting to get a Sun Tunnel in my kitchen for years and kept putting it off. When I saw my neighbors getting one installed and how much they liked it, I went with their installer and just had it installed today. I love it!!! It's so refreshing to go into a well-lit room without having to turn the lights on. Gabe and Cameron were very professional and kept the area they were working in clean. I'm looking forward to seeing the solar electric nightlight at work tonight and the savings I'll get later at tax time.
